The Law in Ontario provides that all employees have the right to equal treatment with respect to their employment without harassment or discrimination.
The Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario resolves claims of discrimination and harassment brought under the Human Rights Code.
The grounds on which discrimination is prohibited under the Code:

Ancestry, colour, race
Citizenship
Ethnic origin
Place of origin
Creed
Disability
Family status
Marital status (including single status)
Gender identity, gender expression
Receipt of public assistance (in housing only)
Record of offences (in employment only)
Sex (including pregnancy and breastfeeding)
Sexual orientation
